APARTMENTS IN SESTO CALENDE

On the first floor of an old convent abandoned in the ninety’s, and subsequently transformed into a residence, architect Federico Molina has overhead the project for the renovation and furnishing of three apartments: two two-room apartments and one three-room apartment.

Essentiality and elegance were the key principles on which the architect focused during the renovation.
The architect’s main objective was to create three units characterised by comfortable and functional spaces, but above all unique to each other, although they have well-defined lines and marked shapes in common.
The absolute protagonist, which characterises the uniqueness of each apartment, is the wall decorated with coverings by Momenti which becomes the background of every living room. The environment is enhanced by printed subjects with great visual and artistic impact. These walls dialogue with the furnishings and textile complements in a game of references and dissonances.

All apartments have a large living area made up of kitchen and open-space living rooms. One or two bedrooms, complete bathroom with shower and laundry room.
The predominant finishes and colors are neutral and refined in the range of grey and taupe, interrupted by bold colors that characterise some fabrics and furnishing elements (clay, cobalt, cherry and ash colors). All floors are made of single-fired stone-like tiles.

The Pedini kitchens, supplied by Galbiati Arreda and made to measure, are complete with all the elements and fit with continuity into the living-dining space maintaining a perfect balance with the rest of the furnishings.
The furnishing of the dining and living area, with a soft and enveloping design, are by Liu-Jo Living. Each living-dining area is characterised by fabric table and chairs, sofas and armchairs with coverings in perfect combination with the rest of the room, with coloured, essential and elegant tables and sideboards.

The rooms have the finishes and neutral colors of the living area, they are welcoming and comfortable thanks to the soft shapes of the furnishings. The beds and bedside tables in all rooms are Liu-Jo Living guest model with matching sheets, the finishes vary in cherry, ash, clay and cobalt tones, in perfect union with th elarge accessorised cabinets supplied by Galbiati Arreda.
