Archiproducts Design Awards 2023: Dedalo sideboard
The Dedalo sideboard is the winner of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2023, the prestigious award that recognizes world design excellence for creativity, research and innovation. Judged and chosen by a jury of leading figures in architecture and design, the winning projects from around the world stood out for their unique concept and represent excellence in creativity, technology and research.
The Dedalo sideboard was designed for Pianca in collaboration with Luciano Marson, entrepreneur and designer. Fascinating, sensual and chameleon-like. Dedalo is a collection with multiple possibilities of use, customization and interpretation of space, which is declined from the geometric essentiality of the cylindrical shape. It is characterized by the two curved structural shoulders connected by a back of the same, delicate, thickness. As in an embrace, the vertical elements enclose the horizontal tops, creating a storage tray effect at the top and offering a convenient integrated grip at the front. The interior compartment, with no vertical divisions, can be customized with fixed shelves or different modules, from flap shelves to storage trays, from drawers to the bar module, to organize space with maximum freedom. Optional, interior lighting that enhances the profiles and geometries of the structure. The sideboard, self-supporting, is available with hinged opening and can be customized in finishes.
