Designed by Bruno Rainaldi, Ptolomeo is a bookcase that elimi- nates the superfluous through its extremely clean essence that enhances the essence, namely books. A simple but brilliant idea, created for the Opionion Ciatti brand, in 2004 won the Compas- so d’Oro and became a contemporary design icon. It was born as a self-standing bookcase and comes in various versions, inclu- ding “Shelf”, with built-in table, perfect for the home office. The skeleton is completely made of metal and appears as a thin colu- mn to which are joined some shelves where to place the books. A clean but revolutionary design that manages to blend in with any type of interior, giving at the same time a touch of originality.
